What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which we treat the same way as cookies under this policy.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary. These are required to operate the site — for example, to remember your cookie preference, keep secure session state, and prevent abuse on forms. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent under UK PECR.
Analytics (consent-based). If you accept analytics cookies, we collect aggregated, anonymised information about pages visited, referrers and basic device type. This helps us improve the site. These cookies are only set after you click "Accept all" in our cookie banner.
What we do not use. No advertising cookies, no third-party marketing pixels, no cross-site tracking, no behavioural profiling.
Managing your preferences
When you first visit the site you will see a cookie banner. You can accept all cookies, or reject all non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser. To change your choice later, clear your browser's site data for this domain and reload the page — the banner will reappear.
You can also block or delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working correctly.
Legal basis
We rely on Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR (consent) for non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement.
