How content is produced

A draft is researched against the current HMRC publication on GOV.UK, written for a specific reader question, and checked by a second team member with practical MTD bookkeeping experience before publication. Sources are linked at the bottom of every guide so readers can verify the underlying HMRC position themselves.

Reviews and updates

Time-sensitive content (thresholds, deadlines, penalties, software lists) is reviewed at least quarterly and immediately after any HMRC announcement. Substantive revisions are reflected in the page's last-modified date in the sitemap.

Independence
