Why year-round bookkeeping pays for itself

The cheapest year-end accounts are the ones built on tidy books. When transactions are categorised as they happen, nothing is missed at year end, expenses aren’t lost, and the Corporation Tax computation is straightforward. When a year of receipts is reconstructed in a weekend, the opposite happens: rushed accounts, missed claims and a bigger bill for the work. Bookkeeping isn’t admin overhead — it’s what makes everything downstream cheaper.

What we handle

  • Bank feeds set up and reconciled — transactions matched to invoices and receipts
  • Sales and purchase invoices recorded; expenses categorised correctly for tax
  • Director’s loan account tracked, so it never becomes a year-end surprise
  • VAT figures kept current if you’re registered (filed under Making Tax Digital)
  • Management figures on request — know your profit before year end, not after

Software we support

We work in the cloud so you can always see your own numbers: Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent. Bank feeds and receipt-capture apps do the heavy lifting; we keep it accurate and reconciled. Not set up yet? We’ll pick the right package for your company and get it running.

Bookkeeping plus your year end

Most clients pair bookkeeping with our fixed-fee year end: we keep the books through the year, then prepare and file the accounts and CT600 for a fixed £399 + VAT (micro-entity companies). One firm, one clean set of records, no year-end scramble. Call 0114 327 1480 for a bookkeeping quote based on your transaction volume.
